I made the (test)script below. Al seems to work fine, except that the if condition always turns “TRUE” even though I made sure that the "DB - Equipment_EM_RingMill.Sts.iMaxReversals" value is indeed 0. It is declared as an integer.

I use the ‘increasetag’ statement just to be sure the script is running at all, and it is.

I tried to copy the tagMaxReversals value into the strDisplayText variable, but that don't seem to work either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. My original code was like that, but because something wasn't working, I started to separate my codelines, just to find out where things went wrong.

I am not familiar yet with the TraceViewer but will have a look, thank you.

In the meantime, having a fresh look, tought me the solution was there in plain sight. :-)

I was reading the wrong tag in the HMI (iMaxReversals), while checking the right one in the PLC (iSetReversals). Oops, silly me.

After changing my code to the right tag, it just worked.
