Since the "OpenFaceplateInPopup" method within a faceplate type does not bring a parameter to assig interface properties, you can only use inheritance.

Any inner type parameters that are also part of the outer type's interface are automatically inherited. For more information, please refer to "Configure faceplate as pop-up".

Yes, inheritance will only work when calling a faceplate (the inner faceplate) from another faceplate (the outer faceplate).
