Application: We are going to be controlling the machine using three modes of operation by using a selector switch and wired into the inputs on the 3UF7 basic unit. 1: Normal (This will be Profibus) No inputs selected 2: Hand (This will be from start/stop buttons on the MCC doors) Input 1 3: Maint (This will be a momentary push button located at the motor ) input 2 My questions. 1 Instead of wiring push buttons on the MCC door can I program the two buttons on the operator interface to simulate these. If so can I still get three modes of operation using the buttons. When I press button #1 the input will go high, then I press it again for the input to go low? This way I can get the binary counting needed to select the three modes of operation by using 2 buttons on the operator control panel. 0 0 Normal 0 1 Hand 1 0 Maint 2 When the 3UF7 is in the maint only we do not want the 3UF7 to latch the motor on. When the maint button is released then the 3UF7 will open the motor contactor. This jog button will also be wired into the digital expansion module which will accept AC volts. Thank you in advance.

Dr Suess Posts: 12 Rating: (2)	I am finally getting into the new Simocode graphic editor now. I am using the PDF that you sent me a while back and have a question. I have changed the a couple of items but I cannot seem to clear the Control Location PLC/DCS [DP] error. On the graphic editor everything looks fine but in the actual control station I still get the blue exclamation marks. Any thoughts Thank you in advance Attachment 3uf7.JPG (842 Downloads)

Amy Regular Member Joined: 4/21/2008 Last visit: 12/3/2024 Posts: 12 Rating: (2)	it is no influence to 3uf7 if there are blue exclamation marks of PLC DP (remote control ) in control station . the blue exclamation marks is due to you do not change the default setting, if you change to other cyclic recieve bit , the blue exclamation marks will disappear. but it's also okif use default setting(e.g. cyclic recieve 0.0 for ON, and cyclic recieve 0.1 for OFF)
