The parts# your post is batter for 840D NCU ,810D CCU or MMC .

Your picture is good, but you did not point which one (L or R) is the new Battery . in my experience the left one should be good . don't worry about polar issue--on the connector there is Convex/Slot and if you use 840D, battery install into Battery/Fan unit  there is marker +/- on the unit near battery connector.

I have tried to replace a Lithium cell 3V 6FC5247-0AA18-0AA0 for a new one and the received spare element has a thinner and larger connector, is it the connector fitted is now different ? See the attachment for more reference.

I am worried the new battery could be unproperly connected.
