Hi, I am currently trying to learn PLC programming and I have a problem with a LOGO and HMI

I have programmed 2 simple On and Off buttons on the TP700 HMI using TIA Portal V17 Update 2

When pressing the button the bit is set and on release its reset.

When the HMI is connected to the LOGO,  I can see the network input on the Screen of the LOGO but there is no output.

If I reprogram the LOGO to have a manual input on I1 and I2 the output goes high, but when I change it to the Network input there is no output from the LOGO.

I am using TIA Portal v17 update 2, LogoSoft 8,2

I have set the TSAP on the LogoSoft to 02.00 for both buttons

IP addresses are,  Logo 192.168.0.1, HMI 192.168.0.2

I would like to help you, but I don't have TIA V17, only TIA V16.

Please upload your LOGO! program in zipped form.
If you want, I can then give you an example in V16place.
You could also upgrade this example to V17.

Normally it's enough to make a connection in TIA. In LSC you must not make a connection and then use the NI in LOGO!s own memory.

@ixo65: I observe from the screen capture that a memory M0.0 is used. Would that address be possible from an HMI? This would be be more appropriate from a memory bit living inside an S7 PLC -- right?

Should the user rather use V-memory located in the LOGO! unit?

I would never use this kind of communiction.

A Siemens HMI and the Siemens LOGO! can communicate via the S7 protocol.

You can set a flag in LOGO! from remote HMI. In HMI is it M0.0, in LOGO! then M1.

I was using network inputs instead of Memory Flags for the input.
