Hello Ki_system_park; Just an educated guess: both Profibus-DP and Profibus-PA segments on your networks must have a powered termination circuit on the first and last node of their respective bus. For Profibus-DP networks, this termination is generally provided on the Profibus connector switch, as long as the node is powered. If you remove power from the node, the bus is no longer terminated, and reflections appear during transmissions, interfering with data exchanges and making the Profibus master lose control of the network. If you plan on removing power to the last node occasionally and you want to maintain the integrity of Profibus exchanges, you have to think of adding a seperate active termination for Profibus after the last node, and power it with 24 V independantly. The part number fror the Siemens active termination unit is 6ES7972-0DA00-0AA0. In the following screenshot, you will find the description of the active terminator circuit, and an extract from this document describing permanent termination of Profibus networks: - Instructions for the permanent termination of a bus segment https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/2157453 Hope this helps Daniel Chartier |
