Upgrade system from V7.1SP3 to V9.1SP1 - what steps do you have to follow?

Hi, I didn't want to open new topic, so I will ask here, because question is around this topic. I am preparing upgrade system from V7.1SP3 to V9.1SP1. My question is which steps do I need to follow. According: to Process control system SIMATIC PCS 7 Software update with utilization of new functions V9.1 SP1 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109809169/simatic-process-control-system-simatic-pcs-7-software-update-with-utilization-of-new-functions-v9-1-sp1?dti=0&lc=en-WW I need to start from version V7.1Sp4 and that I have already done - conversion from SP3 to SP4. My question is if I can go direct to V9.1SP1 or I need to make some between steps, like conversion to v8.2. Hello edek, Usually in the upgradation perspective, there are two options: with or without the utilization of the functionality of the newer version (9.1 in this case). It is recommended to go through this manual perform the upgradation based on your requirement. SIMATIC Process control system PCS 7 Software update with utilization of new functions V9.1 Below points are for PCS7 V9.1 SP1 upgradation Manual software with utilization of new function can only works with PCS7 V7.1 SP4 or higher projects If you don not want to utilize the new function. i.e., Manual software without utilization of new function then you must have PCS7 V8.2 SP1 Project with you.
