Variable Speed Drive Profinet and PCS7 (FbDrive)

I have 3 Powerelectronics model SD750 variable speed drives which I communicate by profinet with my CPU 410-5H. Currently from HWConfig / Monitor-Modify I can see the states of my variable speed drive and in the same way I can send speed reference forcing the hexadecimal data from Monitor - Modify. The GSDML file of my drives has different options for data inputs and outputs, being the data type byte. I configured 4 input bytes (2 words) and 4 output bytes (2 words). In my CFC I am using the FbDrive block, the telegram type is 1 and there I am connecting the two input words and the two output words to it. My input pins are like this: PZDIn1 = 16#8 (Variable Drive Speed Ready) PZDIn1 = 16#0 (Variable Drive Speed Feedback Reference) Telegram = 1 SPLi=Value 50% My output pins are like this: PZDOut1 = 16#8 (Variable Drive Speed Ready) PZDOut2 = 16#0 (Variable Drive Speed Feedback Reference Bad = 0 ErrorNum = 0 Fault = 0 RdyOn = 0 (Ready to switch On) RdyOp = 0 (Ready to operate) Fault = 0 OpEn= 0 (Operation Enable) When I send a speed reference from my faceplate, I don't get any output in PZDOut2 output, similarly when I send a run command from my faceplate, I don't get any response in PZDOut1 My questions are: 1. What do I need to verify? 2. Do I always have to use the FbDrive block? 3. Can't I make use of blocks that convert me from Word to Bool and vice versa from bool to Word to operate my variable speed drive? 4. What other alternatives / blocks can I use? The channel block makes it possible to integrate drives in PCS 7 that support standard telegram types 1 or 20 and which can be recognized by the driver generator Kindly go through the below link to know the usage of FbDrive block and using the same for configuration Configuration of Frequency Converters with the APL Channel Block "FbDrive" in SIMATIC PCS 7 I hope it helps you!

cristian021091 Experienced Member Joined: 2/22/2021 Last visit: 3/24/2024 Posts: 114 Rating: (13)	Hello everyone, unfortunately we could not integrate our speed drive with the blocks exposed in the Siemens documentation, since we could not define telegram 1 or 20 for it, however we were able to control our drive by reading its words, converting them to bits. In the same way, I had to create a block that converted me from bit to word and from bit to two bytes to be able to send run, fault reset and speed reference commands.
