I'm experiencing a similar communication problem.

Even inserting the S120 GSD in the project, it does not communicate with the S7-315 2DP PLC.

The STATER (3un CU320 controlling 12 servo motors) were programmed by someone else, but I have access to the addresses.

For correct communication with the TIA Portal V14 do you need the GSDML file or just the GSD ??

According to your picture, you are connecting your S120 through ProfiBus, and not Profinet. I think, that this macro (in starter) is only for profinet...

I have checked my old installation of TIA14, and there are some possibilities for S120 Profibus:

Under Other field devices ->PROFIBUS DP->Drives->SIEMENS AG->SINAMICS->SINAMICS S120/S150 Vx.x (Vx.x: choose version of your drive), you can insert your CU320 and then proper telegrams....:

but I am not sure, I have not tested it, how it works (because you have the same option also for S120 as profinet, but it is better to work with macro in starter....)

Unless things are changed, but S120 CANNOT communicate in Profibus/Profinet, because it can communicate in DriveCliq, thus a CU (COntrl unit) is needed. Then you can "talk" using Profibus/net with your CU, but nevermind directly with S120
