Using one Motion control CPU + separate F CPU

markobursic Joined: 3/15/2023 Last visit: 9/16/2024 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I would like to use S120 or S210 with S7-1500(T) with yet another ET200SP F-CPU for other non motion related process. Both PLCs shall be connected on the same profinet network, 1st is a master with isochrone mode. I hought it would be an easy way to send profisafe telegrams from 2nd CPU, while sending drive setpoint, actual values to 1st CPU. With TIA v18 I can't configure this solution, am I doing wrong or it is even impossible?

You want to use the S120/210 as a shared device, that's not possible. The easier way is you use a TF-CPU and connect there with the second F-CPU via Profisafe. Then you can send the necessary signals from the F-CPU to the TF-CPU and then to the S120/210. regards CaOd
