Installing standard module with SIPLUS 1214C CPU

Baraa 19 Member Joined: 12/11/2022 Last visit: 4/20/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts , I have a system which contains SIPLUS 1214C CPU with part no.: 6AG1214-1AG40-2XB0 and I need to add a standard DNP3 module with part no.: 6GK7243-1BX30-0XE0 as it is available in the market and the SIPLUS DNP3 module has a very long delivery time. I'm wondering if I can use the standard module with SIPLUS CPU or not in spite of the standard module not available at the HW configuration and I need to add the SIPLUS module at the HW configuration instead of standard module?? At the configuration level you can configure the SIPLUS version in the project and physically use the normal version of the CP, since it is the same CP, only with different characteristics. But it doesn't make sense to use a SIPLUS CPU and then the rest of the components are not SIPLUS, you don't benefit from its special features.

The problem in the lead time of the SIPLUS CP, That is why we searched for a proper alternative solution.
