Hi SiemensForumUserNickname, I am pretty sure that your problems are not certificate or secure communication related. If they were, you would not even be able to read data from the PLC. My first guess after reading about your problem was misconfigured user permissions. However, it seems that you already know that the HMI role "HMI Monitor Client" must be deselected to allow control. However, just in case your configuration was wrong before, please make a new download with the option "Reset to start values". If the problem persists after you reload the user management, you can try using the Trace Viewer. You can also create a sample project as suggested by user 'qwazee' or submit a support request. Kind regards |

Hi SiemensForumUserNickname, The central documentation for users and roles in the context of WinCC Unified is the system manual. However, I have tried to follow your description, but I am not really sure that I understand your explanation. I assume that your configured user has been assigned the "Activate HMI Monitor Client" right. You can check the assigned rights in "Security Settings > Users and roles > Users". There you can select a user and the tab "Assigned roles" will show all assigned roles. Because the Unified Panel allows operation without user authentication, it is a little more difficult to prevent the device from operating without user credentials. You can use scripting to check the "@UserName" system tag and change the root screen to a screen that requires login, or change the "Authorization" parameter for each item that allows user input. Regarding your comments about user groups, user groups are only available with central user management. Kind regards |
