Hi hewking103, Yes, you can use a V18 version of WinCC Unified PC Runtime together with a V17 version of WinCC Unified Engineering. This information can also be found in the Compatibility Tool. Kind regards |

hi Stefan I am pretty new to WinCC Unified - does WinCC Unified PC Runtime refer only to the Runtime Application Layer on the wincc unified Panel eg. MTp 1500 or does this term includes as well runtime for normal PC computer? I know that MTP uses linux as an operating system so i would assume that runtime layer will be different for MTP panel and for PC running windows 10 or 11. Regards |

Hi Murof Thanks for sharing that interesting idea which i would like to better understand. I watched a short video example with TIA and S7 300 which used absolute hmi tags addressing rather than symbolic.

Hello hewking103 you can work with optimized DBs and also with symbolic access to the Tags with Proxy device connection of different TIA Projects. I think this way is described in the TIA Help: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109815056/162398230155 We use this in very much projects Bye Murof |
