I have a TIA portal V11 Project in which i have used PIDcompact DB, When i tried to download my project, an error is there "CPUcommon has an invalid firmware version" I already have a project which i made before in Portal V10.5 & it is working ok for download using Portal V11, but i made a project in V11-same logic as project of v10.5, but when i tried to download, i am facing same problem, does any 1 have faced this error?

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, Because of thetext "CPU common ..." in the error, my opinion is that the portal does not recognize the CPU version you are using. - Is the configured firmware version for the CPUmatching the real CPU version? - Isthe program written with an undefined hardware? ==> use the "detect HW" function To know the real FW version, go online(via accessible nodes) anduse thediagnostic functions to detect the real FW used.

Sanjay Mistry Posts: 79 Rating: (7)	MOUNTED CPU IS V1.0 & I AM USING PORTAL V11 SP2, & I TRIED TODAY TO MAKE MODIFICATION IN V10.5 PROJECT & IT IS WORKING OK, I THINK UP TO V10.5 SP1 UPDATE 1- CPU VERSION V1.0 & ALL BLOCKS ARE SUPPORTED, V11 SP2 IS HAVING LOTS OF TROUBLE TO IDENTIFY THE OLD VERSIONS. I DONT KNOW WHY SIEMENS LAUNCHES THE UPDATES, SP'S, VERSIONS, MOST OF ENGINEERS HAVE TO SEARCH NEW SP'S, VERSIONS ALL THE TIME & UPDATES ARE AVAILABLE IN 600-800 MB IN DIFF. PACKS, WHY THE CHANGES AGAIN & AGAIN???? REALLY HATE THE METHOD OF UPDATES & SP'S..... IF THEY WANT TO LAUNCH, TRY PERFACTLY THEN LAUNCH, PORTAL V10.5 & V11 ARE ALSO HAVING PROBLEM IF THEY BOTH ARE INSTALLED IN SAME PC.
