Alarm Generation/Message view PCS v3

My project uses PCS lib v3 The third party solution provides a digital signal to my S7-1500, the signal works as a heartbeat. At least once in every 30s I expect that signal. If the signal is not present within that time I have to create an alarm. For monitoring of digital input I'm using MonDi function, timer and remaining logic is not a problem as well. What I'm struggling with is an alarm - how can I generate an alarm which will be visible in message view? Please advise. best regards KU

I don't know exactly what you mean with PCS v3 library, but there are two versions: classic or APL. I assume it is APL. You can use a MonDiL or MonDiS block to create alarms. Via the properties of the block, you can click on a button: Messages where you can define the message class, name of the message and other properties like acknowledgment. You also use another block like EventTS or Alarm8P to create alarms/messages.
