I have a similar problem, I've had my M6 for 4 years, the battery didn't want to charge anymore, I bought another one, but I realized that the new one didn't want to charge either, I noticed that the battery LED always stays GREEN, I noticed in the manual that when It's charging is orange, both batteries are already empty and today I can only turn it on without the battery. So, I believe this problem is hardware. Has anyone had the same problem and resolved it, without needing to take it to technical support?? Note: I have already updated BIOS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi, as you already updated the BIOS, how long did you wait after connecting the PG with the new battery to the power supply? There is also following FAQ, maybe you have to repeat this steps a few times. Why does the newly purchased battery pack not charge in the SIMATIC Field PG?Case 2: Battery pack does not charge even with the latest BIOS version
Due to transport regulations a new battery pack is only very slightly charged and is inactive. When you slot the battery pack into the Field PG, it has to be connected to a mains power supply to activate the battery pack. Proceed as in the following steps if the above-mentioned behavior occurs:
The battery pack LED on the Field PG lights green and changes to orange when the battery pack is recognized. If the battery pack still does not charge, repeat the procedure multiple times.
