S7 314-2DP all LEDs on cpu are blinking

Darius, im afraid you're wrong in this particular case. One of requirements for online update is:

The module in the station whose firmware is to be updated must have firmware version V2.6.1 or higher and be accessible online.

And we have 2.0 here.

Have you found the solution? I have S7 314-2DP PLC with firmware 2.0

I am updating the firmware to resolve all LEDs on cpu are blinking.

It is appreciable if you can give an answer.

Split from How do upgrade PLC S7-300 from V2.0 to V2.6 .

If all LED’s blocking with same pattern, it is most likely Hardware error. Try to go online to CPU, if CPU doesn’t respond, Try to hard reset by stop/run togggle switch & Try to go online to CPU & update the firmware. If still Unble go online, i must doubt on your CPU. It must be failed. Replace it..

 Just an update - we have replace the CPU with new one..
