Is there a way to create input combinations with 8 inputs and use them afterwards as condition?

So for example, I0.0 & I0.1 = M?.? or 

I0.0 & I0.2  = M?.? or

I0.0 & I0.1 & I0.2 = M?.?

If so, how can i arrange this and how many combinations are posdible.

I am using an S7-1214c

Because that topic is a bit confusing, it start with the binary things and changes in other questions!

And because of the fact that the Bitsum is not avalilable when using a S7-1200.

 8bits = 1 byte = max value is 255, so your answer is 255 combinations can be achieved with 8 bits.

You can use the technique you just wrote your self, that is easy to do.

i"ve made a start with my program to see if it works.

i know that it is pretty basic but this i a start for me.

in the attached file there is a sample.

maybe somebody can have a look at it at give me some tips/example what can be better/easyer.

8 bits is a full byte, and that gives you 255 choises.
Bit0 = 1
Bit1 = 2
Bit2 = 4
Bit3 = 8
Bit4 = 16
Bit5 = 32
Bit6 = 64
Bit7 = 128

So you want to represent a number with different inputs. That is easy, just assign the 8 inputs to the same byte, and you can directly use the IB. Let's imagine that your used inputs are i1.0 ---> i1.7. Then create a tag with address IB1 and datatype Byte.

That's what I mean. The same question as in the other topic.

 You can see how he uses the Byte in the example picture what he just posted. When your inputs are from i0.0 ... -> i0.7, you can also use IB0 and use a comparator to a number.  The inputs are basically a BCD number generator.

Try the following. Add inputs from i0.0 -> i0.7 to watch table. Then also add IB1 to the watch table. When you activate those inputs, you will see how the value changes in IB0.
