Supported functions:

• Universal Data Model (UDM). UDM works as exchange platform for SoftwareCIM and allows data exchange via UDM using supported protocols.
• Secured Global Local Area Network (SGLAN).Devices within the same SGLAN can communicate with each other.
• Configuration of SoftwareCIM. The following configurations are available:

– Configuring the LAN, WAN or SGLAN of the SoftwareCIM

– Configuring tags and data connections

– Changing and monitoring tags

– Configuring supported protocols

– Configuring security functions such as certificate management

– Maintenance functions, such as system restart and reset to factory settings

• Protocol gateway. All devices in the SGLAN can communicate with the SoftwareCIM via the S7/Modbus protocol based on the UDM (Universal Data Model). The application can access data on the SoftwareCIM via the RESTful-API based on UDM.
• Data management. SoftwareCIM can perform an action when a configured event is triggered, e.g. a change in the UDM.
• Date and time synchronization by means of NTP time server
• Certificate management.
