Should I install TIA v19 WinCC in another Virtual Machine?

I have installed v13 to v18 but I have read that there are some problems with WinCC versión. Right now I have installed WinCC Advanced v13 SP2 WinCC Advanced v14 SP1 WinCC Advanced v15.1 WinCC Advanced/Unified PC v16 WinCC Advanced/Unified PC v17 WinCC Advanced v18 Can I install WinCC Advanced/Unified PC v18? If I try to install v19, I have read that is not posible and I should uninstall v18 Unified PC. Should I install v19 with only WinCC Advanced v18? Should I install v19 in another VM? What do you recommend? Thanks in advance.

I mean, for example, two different versions of Unified-Unified, Professional-Unified, Professional-Professional or a version of WinCC Classic cannot coexist in the same environment. All these versions have a database and this will lead to problems. Therefore, you can install WinCC Advanced versions on the same virtual machine, as these do not have a database with a Unified version in your case, but you cannot install further Unified versions in the same environment. To install more Unified versions, you have to create virtual machines. I hope I have been able to explain myself clearly. Best regards!

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 1/9/2026 Posts: 16629 Rating: (1944)	Hello Itlj I have installed V15.1 up to V19 Comfort/Advanced in every version and Unified from V16 to V19 Of course you can only install one version of WinCC Advanced RT (V17) and WinCC Unified PCRT (V19). But you can engineer every version and also simulate every version. Of course the VM is very big and it takes long to install any up to date version but it works properly. But Diskspace is not endless so I would also go to V20 with smaller VMs with only a few key Versions of TIA. Since V19 you can install parallel WinCC Comfort/Advanced, Unified and Professional but only in that specific versoin. So I have a VM with all this iin V19. (you cannot mix this with other versions of Unified or WInCC Prof...) Bye Murof

Parallel installation of different versions (up to V19) of WinCC Professional / WinCC Advanced / WinCC Unified will not work. However, as @Murof posted above, it does work without WinCC Professional. So, for engineering (up to V19), it is possible to install different versions of WinCC Advanced / WinCC Unified in parallel.
