• I use W10 Enterprise with the last available update
• I downloaded the Roboto fonts from multiple sources on the net without any appreciable result
• I copied and dropped to the font folder from the control panel
• I'm using WINCC PROFESSIONAL TIA16 upd3 (just updated because someone suggests me to fix the issue just updating to the latest release as upd)
• I already read the previous thread suggesting to install font with administrative right and reboot and so on

Every tip is appreciated

Hi pigroplc,

You could try delete this font in Windows - Control Panel - Fonts and reinstall it again as "administrator" user.

Then goes to Tia Portal and select this font. Let's see if with this procedure you can use it.

Our solution with admin-rights was

- go to Control Panel > Fonts

- right click on the specific font > Properties

- below Attributes there was a button to "Release" or "Unlock", press it

- restart TIA

GOT IT!

my mistake was to drag and drop the fonts in the folder without installing them via the context menu activated by the right mouse button.

I selected the menu option: "Install for any user"

Recently my laptop has been upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11 and now my additional installed font "Sumsun" and "Gulim" have been removed.

And the options above does not seem to work....as in they do appear in TIA Runtime settings --> Language & font --> Download font (but I still cannot enable fon download here.

does someone have tried this in Win 11?
