Hello,

I am using TIA Portal V18 and wanted to try user login and logoff, but I couldn't get it to work.

I added an IO field to my project. The tag for my IO field is@UserName. I have two buttons:

• Login button: ShowLoginDialog
• Logoff button: LogOff  function.

When I start the runtime, the DefaultUser is automatically logged in. However, LogOff button does not work. I am using local user not umc. Also, when I try to log in, the users and passwords in my project do not work, even though I have assigned the necessary permissions to them.

While downloading the project, I do not select the option "Keep current user administration data in runtime".

Is there an additional setting I need to configure, or is there another issue causing this? Even for a simple task, Unified is quite frustrating.

Comment us to if not check for possible problems similar to the one you are experiencing.

Was having the same problem.

Changed the Event from ‘Press key’ to ‘Press’ and it worked.
