LCCF_EnetScanner code 7002 no communication

albertarla Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I'm trying to establish communication with an EthernetIP device but I'm failing to configure it. I'm receiving the status code 7002 but I nevere achieve the isActive bool to be set to true (so no communication is being done). Here I attach the EDS file and some screenshots of my configuration. If someone can check them to ensure I'm not doing anything wrong it would be very helpfull. TIA Portal v18 is being used. Can you be more detailed about that? No some error bit ON and then with STATUS value? The status 16#7002 means that it's all ok and the block is working. Nevertheless the isAtive bit is false so no communication is being done. I think the problem I'm facing is in the configuration. but not sure why or where is the problem. I was expecting to receive ethernetIP messages (so the isActive would be true and there would be data written to the output db). I attached the eds file I'm using which is needed to configure properly the block and the configuration I set. I need help to find the configuration problem or why I'm not communicating properly. I used this: link as tutorial to configure the block. I have checked the HW and everything looks right.

If you maybe still want continue some talk with Forum, maybe attach some screenshots from code, online of block, required cfg settings what you expect as required (you did already I see). All what I can do is only read some documentation but this is all. Generally I can see that your block is working (green outline indication as basic state) and also expected that 16#7002 is busy signal what means that some data are sended from Adapter but no answer from device generally. I recomemnd check also in your code other combinations with error and status, check documentation to library. Next maybe info is if adapter device is configured also properly to send that data, I don't know. EDS is there but it only specify exactly areas probably and not initiate any data exchange from adapter device. Do you have taste to also decribe this? Is adapter device properly set to answer? Is really defined as adapter device and not also as scanner? From docs I see this as typical cfg requirements as basic primary functionality, as my attachment shows. I see some values set there inside your ZIP but really I'm not sure what else is required here. What I don't see now is IP of adapter device and of your PLC. There is also Adapter library to Simatic HW with EDS of course and you can now test functionality of your Scanner with some Simatic CPU configured as adapter. This can be maybe better test in case you are stuck.

AymericProftia Experienced Member Joined: 9/23/2016 Last visit: 9/17/2025 Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Pay attention on the side of the EtherNet/IP gateway or equipment, particularly the numer of input and output. If you have the enable, valid and busy bits always activated in your program, and you have the status constantly at 7002 and the bit isActive is false, so the meaning of this is your input/output size of data is not correct, or more exactly, not the same on both side (plc side and EtherNet/IP adapter side). In my case, i often use 16 bits for the size of inputs and ouputs in EIP communication.
