Alarms does not disappear

MemoGG Advanced Member Joined: 2/20/2009 Last visit: 7/6/2022 Posts: 53 Rating: (0)	Hello Everybody, I am still fighting with the alarm system, I am trying to 'clean' my alarms but I have a problem with some of them that don't disappear from the unacknowledged alarms window. I understand that even if the alarms exists if I acknowledge them they should disappear from this window (remaining in the active window, though). but it is not happening. I have 7 fixed alarms on the acknowledged alarms window, some of them have date and time crossed with a line, some others seem to be old alarms that were activated when the plc was 'new' and its date was not set correctly (1994!). For me it seems that the alarm was changed or deleted and the alarm system is not able to acknowledge it. I wolud like to get rid of those alarms to start from scratch but I don´t know how to do it. Also it would be a good idea to reset the alarm system and reload all the alarms again, but still I need some help to accomplish this, too. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

This device was originally one type and then we changed the block to another type (with another message structure), so it seems that the alarms that we are looking at, are the ones from the old block (the new ones work well, anyway), but they remained in the system. Do you have a suggestion for this case? or maybe it could be the case to delete the alarm DBand rebuilding the system from scratch, is it possible to do that? Regards

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	You can reset the archive (right-click on archive in Alarm Logging). Also, you can delete all the alarms by going to Messages/Multiple Messages then recompile (complete with memory reset) OS. Regards
