CONT_C and productivity of the processor

I want use system function CONT_C for all process in technological object - it is near 10 process (10CONT_C may be to 20CONT_C).... but I doubt productivity of the processor 315-2DP....Somebody can tell as strongly loads the processor by calculating CONT_C.....how increased cycle time function CONT_C...

Dear andrewF FB41 "CONT_C" requires 1.5 Kbyte and each instance DB length in Kbyte would be 0.4, so memory required can be calculated as below: memory=1.5 + (200.4)=1.5+8=9.5 Kbyte About the execution time, the function needs 0.4 ms to be executed in S7 300 CPUs.If you want to process 20 loops in your PLC, so this need 200.4ms=8ms Check the mentioned values with the CPU you selected and decide! Regards

Guess what, execution time is 0.06 ms for S7 400 CPUs. These are approximate values mentioned in TABLE 2.4 in this reference.Possible to find them in the corresponding manuals! Best regards

I refer to the Eenglish version of the book with ISBN: 978-3-89578-255-8.* I am not sure there is a Russian version of that officially available! The values are some how different with the version I have purchased! The execution time values are approximate and better rely on original text rather than locally translated versions! Regards
