SITRANS P200 M12 pin configuration

ionut.b Posts: 289 Rating: (3)	I need to connect two pressure sensors with M12 connector (current output) to a box, via one M12 wall conector (4wire). I do this using a "T" splitter and two cables. No problems with other pressure sensors that use pins 1(+) and 2(-). But in P200 case the pins are1(+) and 3(-). I have checked more connector manufacturers and most of them expect analog signal at pins 1 and 2. If signal comes on pins 1 and 3, I can't use splitters. Siemens provides cables with M12 connectors ? How to change signal pin from 3 to 2 ? Thank you.

Chook Experienced Member Joined: 6/13/2006 Last visit: 10/27/2025 Posts: 201 Rating: (8)	Hi , The pin 1 (+) , 2 (-) : Connection with current output and connector per EN 175301 The pin 1 (+) , 3 (-) : Connection with current output and connector M12x1 The pin 2 & 3 are exactly the same polarity, the above only has a difference connector. Suppose both pressure transmitters had signals on 1 & 2. Will a Tee splitter actually do what you need? cable 1 Splitter common 1 1 2 2 cable 2 13 2 4 I don't know, I'm asking. It's obvious that a number of vendors provide cordsets with an M12 connector on one end and flying leads on the other end and that you can run the flying leads to terminal blocks to produce and configuration of wiring needed, but it's terminal block and maybe a junction box. I use breakout connectors for DB9 and RJ11 connectors that allow for custom wiring but when I have used commercial M12 cordsets I've noticed that gender changers are not available. I am unaware of custom configurable M12 connectors, probably because they have an IP rating that is incompatible with field assembled connectors.
