Tom If you have TIA Portal V11 SP2 install DVD, you can install it onto Win7-64. Otherwise, no. Also, V11 SP2 crashes much less often, but will still crash on you if you do things normal users vs. Siemens support engineers do :( [schnippschnapp]

kbouwman Experienced Member Joined: 4/21/2007 Last visit: 8/12/2025 Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	I have been using V11SP for a while now and I think it works quite a bit better under Win 7 x64 than under Virtual PC with XP, Vista x32, or Win 7 x32. You do need to have the CD and you have to have a Licence Key. By mistake I included the price I had to pay for the License Key here and the moderator removed that line. I still think it is important to know that while the Key needed to use Portal Basic V11 onwith Windows 7 64-bit is not expensive, it is not free. [schnippschnapp]

Tom Hello Tom, TIA Portal based softwares are released for 64 bit MS Windows 7 operating systems. You can make use of STEP 7 v11 SP2 / WinCC v11 SP2 which are the compatible versions with Windows 7 - 64 bit OS. If you download the v11 SP2 from the download page of Industry Online Support Portal (here) then that is not suitable for 64 bit - Win 7, whereas a DVD which includes v11 SP2 as a single installation will do in 64 bit - Win 7 OS.
