NeLz0n Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Hi My new notebook haven't got any pcmcia slot. I want to buy an USB-PCMCIA adapter, than (i hope) i can use my PCMCIA-MPI/DP adapter. So it would be great, if you can suggest my some PCMCIA-USB adapter that you already tested, and work correctly with the PCMCIA-MPI/DP adapter. thx a lot.

NeLz0n Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	hi it doesn't matter which product do you want to use(simotion). the problem is: USB-MPI adapter needs power from the rs 485 side. So you can connet only to the cpu unit.

gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	Now CP 5512 is performed - this is old card. So you can only use MPI - USB adapter, CP5711 and TS adapter. The most functionality has CP5711 - galvanic isolation and power from the USB-port. I recommend it.

I have connected it to SIMATIC S7-400 and to SENTRON WL with COM15. http://www.delock.de/produkte/G_66214/merkmale.html It works fine.
