SINAMICS & STARTER, routing over Ethernet network

I would like to access SINAMICS drives which are on the PLC's Profibus network through Ethernet using STARTER software. The PLC in question is 416-3 DP, which supports dataset routing, the drives are SINAMICS G120 with CU240E-2DP control unit and firmware version 4.4.23.16. CP is of the 443-1 type, not the 443-5, which supports dataset routing. Do both the PLC and the CP need to be dataset routing capable for this to work? I am using Drive ES Basic v5.5 software installation on a Windows Server 2003 machine. I have added a PG/PC to the Netpro configuration and enabled its network interface, but I still cannot access the drives through Ethernet, no problems accessing them over Profibus. Yes,all of the modules/boards being used must be capable of routing. Boris Cikota I have added a PG/PC to the Netpro configuration and enabled its network interface, but I still cannot access the drives through Ethernet, no problems accessing them over Profibus. Have you assigned the PG/PC interface at the Assignment tab of PG/PC properties? Also look at the following faqs: How is a routing established from one PG via a PROFIBUS interface through a SIMATIC station to SINAMICS G120/G120D frequency inverter via a PROFINET interface? What should I do if I have set my PG/PC interface to ISO-Industrial Ethernet so I can use Routing with Starter and DriveES to access MICROMASTERS on Profibus from the network port on my PG or PC and I find that the communication doesn't work?

I have everything setup as per the documents you linked, but it is still not working. I think the problem is in the CP, which is not the right version - one that supports data routing.
