Reset memory by hardware

Georgeous Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello, experts! I have an issue so I need your advice. The problem is that I have a bit in a V memory field and I don't have a programming tool to reset it. If there any possibility to reset all V memory field by hardware (e.g. as BIOS settings on PC by turn off it's battery)? Thank you! George A.

Marcjan Platinum Expert Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 5697 Rating: (715)	Hello, You can try to leave power off for 50 to 100 Hours(depends on CPU type), that's the time the super capacitor will be empty and all retentive data is lost. But if the V memory is allso in data block, it will be loaded as declared in datablock. It's also possible to write Vmemory bits & bytes to permanent memory. Think you need Microwin and cable to solve your problem or find someone who can do the job for you. regards, Marcjan
