Protool/Pro or WinCC Flexible collecting data from 3rd party thermoregulators

ecsiberg Advanced Member Joined: 10/25/2005 Last visit: 11/5/2024 Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	[:)]I would like to connect and integrate an HMI PC running WinCC-Flexible (or Protool/Pro) with some third party thermoregulators. These regulators have a modbus serial RS485 interface already available on board and I would like to collect data (temperature and SP) from them and show / save in a trend How can I do that?

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi ecsiberg, well, there are modbus-driver available for S7-Systems (as Add-On) Check this out: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/21956456 Via your S7-CPU you can transfer the thermoregulators values (e.g. in a data block) to WinCC flexible.
