How many analog inputs we can add this CPU? Let me see if I can simplify this question... Open your project, drop in 1 analog input signal board onto the cpu. That's now 3. Now add 8 analog input modules with the most analogs your system can handle. That's your max per CPU.Now add an ET200 distributed IO system and add until you run out of skin on your fingers. It's a really large number once you use distributed (remote)I/O.

As any S7-1200 CPU as ofnow supports a max of 1024 bytes of inputs (I) /1024 bytes of outputs (Q)

But as mentioned before, you can use decentral perifery (e.g. ET200S, ET200M, ET200SP, ET200MP) and there your limit is te address area (1024/2 = 512 analogic channels, maximal).

But as mentioned before, you can use decentral perifery (e.g. ET200S, ET200M, ET200SP, ET200MP) and there your limit is te address area (1024/2 = 512 analogic channels, maximal). With remote PLCs, you can add another 500 and then pass that data to a central master PLC via profinet. Again, the number is limited by your imagination and hardware, and of course, the amount of skin still remaining after ~500 analog input configurations, wiring terminations, and norm_x/scale_x block setups.

Hello Pegaia, 7 was a limit in S7-200 whereas S7-1200 supports a max of 8 modules in central configuration. Considering 8*8 (SM) + 2 (CPU on-board) + 1 (SB)it comes to a max of 67 channels in central configuration.

The 1 SB analog input is ±10v, ±5v, ±2.5v and 0-20ma. –the -4HA32-SB also has 4-20ma. The 64 SM analog inputs are ±10v, ±5v, ±2.5v and 0-20ma. – the -4HF32- SM also has 4-20ma. Larry

Hi Ganes10 I understood 88(SM)= signal module 1(SB)= what is the abreviation for this SB .???? Where we can use this ?
