That is a very good start. Once think you will for sure want to do on all your remote PLCs... ENABLE the WEB SERVER!!!! It lets you connect remotely to diagnose without using the portal which means any technician with a browser can look remotely before going on-site to see what parts may need replacing or at least checking. Itallows for a remote PLC stop and start without portal software. Profinet is much simpler once the configuration is done. If you use the Support Requestoption, they can also help you get configuration established which is really the hard part for profinet - and once you do it once, it is extremely easy to repeat. |
