RFID210 in TIA Portal

I have some problem with RFID and would be verry happy to get some suggestions or maybe examples I am using RFID210r, it is conneced with io-link to et200s (IM 151-3 PN) where i have a module 4SI IO link for rfid (i am using TIA Portal), i am only using one port and in configuration i have 8 bytes of I address and 8 bytes of Q address. I am watching all bytes in watch table and they are all 0. I need some help how to make rfid read MDS D124 Moby D and write to it. I only found one manual where it was written that if i set bit 4 in byte 0 i can turn off the antena and inputs become 0xFF, i tried this but the inputs didnt change. The et200s ic communicating via profinet with the controller et200s (IM151-8-F-CPU). I am verry new in programming so any help will be appreciated

Valident Member Joined: 2/4/2013 Last visit: 10/10/2023 Posts: 12 Rating: (1)	Hi, The RFID reader with IO-Link interface automatically provides the data read by the transponder (process image of the inputsPII). In doing so, the unique identification number (UID) as well as any application data of a predefined memory area can be read ('Read Only'). No RFID-specific programming is necessary for this. You have only to enter the read-command and the address of the data to be read on the transponder (process image "output" PIQ). See the manual (chapter 5.2 and 5.3.3): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/60641859?Datakey=68014640 An onlineSiemens Example will soon be available for the Reader with IO-Link interface.

Engineer_girl Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Thank you for your answer. I managed to read UID now, but I dont know how to write any data to the transponder. Do I have to change Operating Mode in SIMATIC S7-PCT to Scan user data? Can you give me any tips about writing (and reading) user data?
