Hello Nil96
I fear you can't, but am not 100% sure (haven't tried this yet, so no hands on advise from my side). Chapter 4.1.3.5of the SIMATIC Bus links DP/PA coupler, active field distributors, DP/PA Link and Y Link manual does thoughstate that "You can install a maximum of 5 DP/PA couplers, of which one coupler pair is installed in redundancy mode at the end of the configuration" (see also attached pic). Truth be told, I can't see any technical reasons why two coupler pairs as you would like to have it won't work (which is not to say that there aren't any) andsuggest you send a Support request to Siemensand let us know the answer.
Easy answer: Absolutely YES. I hope this helps |

Hello Nil96 there are no special connectors required to connect PA cable to the FDC157 PA coupler. The PA coupler has a terminal strip on it with shield clamp for this purposeand you'll find some good examplepic's in chapter6.2 of the previously linked manual (and make sure you use Profibus PA cable for the PA segments). I hope this helps |
