djbuie Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello- I'm looking at testing your Logo unit in a parking garage application where the logo inputs would be IR-beam triggers to activate outputs triggering camera. My question is: If I have an input for an entry lane trigger and another input for an exit lane trigger, can the Logo handle simultaneous processes if vehicles enter and exit at precisely the same time? I'm hoping that by replacing our current technology with the Logo I may eliminate the potential of missing any transactions. Can you please confirm that the Logo can handle simultaneous processes like the one I described?

Ste39 Posts: 4620 Rating: (710)	Hi djbuie, How long does the output of your IR-beam? You mean this? Short impulses (1ms) are only sporadically recognized at the digital inputs of LOGO!

If simultaneous inputs occur, will one be potentially masked? Or is the Logo perfectly capable of handling the parrellel processing?

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, I don't believ this is a problem. Use a Up/Down counter. Entry counts up, the other down. Typically LOGO! requires 0.1ms for a FB. If your program contains all max. FB's then it should be 40ms. This is almost less then the time you reqire to seperate the IR-Beams. But you can check with the simulation. Use on Input and connect it to both (Up and Down) of a counter. Then you can see whats happens. Hope this helps Helmut
