programing rtd pt100 in microwin

hello

i have a cpu224 and one rtd module that i have connected one pt100 to that.

i should control temprature in this project by turning on and off one heater. the user enter his ideal temprature in the hmi,

now i want to know how can  i use this  input signal in my program?should i scale it? and how?

pls take a look into this link 

the value from the rtd module are read as degree celsius with resoultion 10

so you need to convert the value from AIW To DI and DI to Real...divide the result by 10 to get the temperature value

If you doing a S7-200 project without this manual, yu are asking for trouble:

S7-200 System Manual

It contains most of the hardware and software documentation you would need for the S7-200 PLCs. Refer to it whenever you have this type of question.

For example, the attached table shows that you only need to scale the RTD input (if you have set the RTD module dipswitches properly) by a factor of 10. For a PT100,  zero degree (C) would be read as 0 (decimal) and every degree up and down would go up or down one digit times 10. 600 degrees C see will appear as 6000, and -250C will be read as -2500.

Strange, the links works for me, I have opened the manual online once again.

Now this manual has been aroud for quite a few years, so it is available from many sources on the web. Or try another link (that I tested) from another section of the Siemens Library.
