Thank you for reading this. As an almost complete newbie, I have some questions about memorycards writing..

When you use the Data register block, you trigger this with a signal and it writes those parameters you selected into memory card. Ok.... but now...

How much time must be maintained this trigger to ensure the complete writting task? or is it unnecessary? (probably unnecessary... fool question 1)

What if I keep the trigger ON? Data register block just will write the data from the start of that trigger? (obviously, yes, but I need confirm)

Does Logo! start each record every time it is put to RUN? (yes, of course), but I read that the data record is dumped in memory card when Logo stops and re-run. Only in this case, data of the last complete cicle will be transferred to the memory card. Is this interpretation correct?

Read your reference, and now, in deep (I had read this one before, but just in a light mode), and found answers... that lead to another question, just from the online help.

It says that you can store up to 32 elements (digital or analogic data) in 8 bit each one.... so, I obtained 32x8 = 256 bits maximum each time that L block is triggered. This and the fact that each file can hold 20000 lines of 256 bits each one, means that each record file (on SDcard) will have 625kB lenght... (kilo Bytes -> 8 kilo bits), so, a 8gB card can hold approx 12800 files?

And then arises the last question... which is the biggest card that a Logo! 8 can hold?

Online help says:

"For digital I/O and memory, you must log data in groups of eight bits, for example, I1 to I8, Q9 to Q16, M17 to M24. For analog data, you select one value to log, for example, AI1, AQ2, or AM1. You configure function block values in groups of eight bits or single values, depending on the value type (digital or non-digital).

You can log a maximum of 32 items (analog values or eight-bit digital groups) in the data log."

Analog values have min. of 16 Bits.

Maximum of SD Card is 32 GB.
