WinCC "Project Manager" not running

S.S.D.D. Posts: 67 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I am setting up a WinCC client application (WinCC 7.0). I have a fresh installation of Windows XP SP2 that I need to install the Siemens Client configuration on. I installed everything in the following order: Windows XP SP3 Windows SP3 update Turned off all firewalls Siemens PCS7 V7.1 / WinCC 7.0 Client package When the project goes to open, I get the following error: "Cannot open WinCC project - Project Manager for configured WinCC Server is not already running - Start Project Manager for configured server" Does anyone know what project manager it is referencing and where this error occured? The SQL server 2005 is running, everything seems okay on the surface. The only thing I can think wasnt done correctly during install was that I dont have the Microsoft Tools 2005 CD on site with me so I may not have all of the Hotfixes. Any thoughts? Thanks.

There is MS patch and an HF for SQL.... If you expect the system to work without these, you must be really brave! Regards
