If I would change my Modbus block to the new one, would I have to buy a new license? Or there is an update price? Best regards, Pierre

"SIMATIC Modbus/TCP CP Redundant" (6AV6676-6MB30-3AX0) is the successor product of 2XV9450-1MB11. The license is the same and also valid for the new product. Wüstenräuber

They have told not to take "chance" and go ahead with old block and old license itself. (I.E to avoid cross options)

The (6AV6676-6MB30-3AX0) SIMATIC Modbus/TCP CP RED is the successor product for Modbus/TCP CP Red V2 (2XV9450-1MB11). As already said, license is the same. So if you make new project you can use the software with advantage of Parameter DB, Bug fixes and using the Wizard for parametization. If you exchange blocks in existing project you have to modify parameters and code because of interface changes at the Modbus block. Greez Bachgeist
