Type no is not in wizard

simaticmanager Posts: 150 Rating: (5)	dear all, i have pcs 7 v7.0 SP1 installed in my laptop. I have to make a project with the AS 414-3 with type no 6ES7 654 1QE58 OXXO. my problem is that when i creat a new project through wizard i could not find the above type no. a similar type no. 6ES7 654 1QD58 0XX0 IS is there. Now wht should i do. Pls help it urgent. thaks in advance simatic manager

Silver Member Joined: 8/10/2006 Last visit: 8/13/2024 Posts: 298 Rating: (29)	If you insist on using the wizard, create the project with one of the newer CPUs that matches your hardware needs. In this case you say it is the 654-1QD58-0XX0. I don't know, but is the 654-1QE58-0XX0 that you have a more recent version? If what you want to build is a more recent version not in the wizard options, create the project with the wizard and once you have updated your hardware catalog, just drag and drop the more recent version of CPU into your hardware - it will update the configuration. If what you have is different or older, after you have created the project using the hardware wizard, (But before you have produced any project code), delete the CPU. Warnings dialogue boxes, etc - click through all of them. Then rebuild the AS hardware from the catalog with the parts you want (in this case, just the CPU). Your AS Program folder will now be outside of the PLC folder - just drag and drop it into its proper place underneath the AS CPU. Since I don't believe this is a redundant CPU, you shouldn't have to worry about reassigning redundancy to the Profibus network. I have found it easier to build a new project from scratch.

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	The HSP's have no influence on the bundle numbers in the wizard, only a new HF or SP or version can update this, unless there a config file in the background that can be updated ( I have to check this). So the only way isthe workaround suggested by PCS7_id10t. The link for the latest HSP's: STEP 7 Hardware Support Packages (HSPs - Stand: 05/2008)
