INTRODUCTION
Motion Control V6 on the S7-1200 has three drive methods:

1. PTO
2. Analog
3. Communications

APPLICATION
Concentrating on PTO and Analog with the configuration for HOMING: (application specific)



The scenario with the movement "car" on the reference sensor when the active homing instruction is triggered.

RESULT

1. The first movement of the PTO Drive is indicated with A.
   
   
2. The first movement of the Analog Drive is indicated with B.

CONCLUSION
The method followed by A is wrong.

MOTIVATION: The reference sensor could be at the mechanical stop position. Because of the homing direction, we know that there are movement space in the forward / positive direction.
