Thanks for your contribution but I afraid to say this is not working for me. As I said in my first post I am trying to program an EPROM of a CP524. The file format for a CP524 is ".525" which I can't open in the software(S5Eprom.exe) you've proposed.

I thought you might use the S5RPROM-software to select your USB-Prommer.

The 525-file you need to programm with the PROM525 tool.

About that I am not sure. If you can select the USB-Prommer within the S5EPROM software it might be possible. Then, hopefully, the PROM525-software uses also the USB-Prommer.

But this COM525 software is very old, The other possibility could be that you use a CP525 with a RAM-module.

Did you check Windows configuration screen ?

Check Memory card parameter assigment

You can select external prommer there.

The windows configuration screen can be found under windows start button.

You can find here mouse setting, network settings, language settings, date and time settings.

If your external prommer is correctly installed you should find here an option 'Memory Card Parameter Assignmen'

I'm sorry, i never used an external prommer to create CP524  eproms.

I had access to PG740 or power PG to do this kind of stuff.

Hi,

After a hard struggle to program the EPROM of a CP card using USB prommer I finally gave up and found a PG to do the task. I will be happy if anybody who has the experience of programming CP EPROMs using this type of prommer shares his/her knowledge
