Sample program for printing online parameters through S7-200 Smart CPU ST60 to printer using Ethernet

“Simple Samples” are small projects that demonstrate simple features. The target is give a quick overview about the theme and be used as start point for related discussions. Follow there are a short description and the configuration main steps.

Description:

By clicking on button a Report is sent to the printer.

Requirements:

WinCC V7.3.

Project with a minimum configuration (stop button, tags, etc.).

At least one printer driver installed and set as default printer in Windows.

Configuration main steps:

• Create a Page Layout (WinCC Explorer → Report Designer → Open Page Layout Editor → “NewRpl1.RPL” is automatically created, else → File → new)

• Configure the Page Layout(texts, figures, etc.)

• Create a new Print Job, “Print Job 001”(WinCC Explorer → Report Designer → Print Job → right mouse click → New print job).

• Configure the new Print Job, “Print Job 001” (Properties → General → Layout file: = “NewRpl1.RPL”)

• Create / open a Picture

• Place a Button (Windows Objects)

• Create a C Script for the Button operation (Button → Object Properties → Events → Mouse → Mouse Click → C Action.

• Configure the C Script as follow:

Note: is not possible, at actual state of art, to start a print job directly by VB script.

Alternative – add a Print job diagnose object (just for diagnose proposes)

Place a Application Windows (Smart Objects)

Configure the Application Windows (Windows contents → Print Jobs → All Jobs).

Project:

Due a size / format restrictions, the project are first compacted with 7z format (project.z7) and after that attached to a zip archive (data.zip).
