How do I cancel all exits when the subroutine is disabled?

Inside the subroutine there is I0.2 when pressed, Q0.1 is activated The problem is when the subroutine is disabled Q0.1 is kept running How do I cancel all exits when the subroutine is disabled?

Duris_I Diamond Expert Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 11/16/2024 Posts: 10614 Rating: (828)	Hello, probably I don't understand your code correctly but your SUB is started by I0.1, so you can check in next step after that start condition if I0.1 is false. There you can also add required steps/commands as you need, also that Q0.1 to false. My recommendation is simple, maybe some Merker exists which can also direct some other steps or make logic more problematic. In other case you can save screenshot from code (PrtScr and save it as JPG f.ex. in Paint) and attach here.

The mechanism you describe is equivalent to what can be coded in C++ as: EN = I0x1; if (EN == true) { Q0x1 = I0x2; } /* x represents the dot in I0.1 */ The core issue is that the inside of the called subroutine is not processed when the enable is removed. But what if we could hold the sate one scan longer? Consider two subroutine calls. Your version vs a modified version. {pic1} Inside the original subroutine would be: {pic2} Inside the modified version: {pic3} Regards.

Tools -> Options -> General -> Colors BONUS: Do you would like to use mine? - see the attached zipped file. Rename the file from "microwin-colors.txt" to "microwin-colors.reg". Right-click the file to merge the registry entries of your own Windows. Best to make a backup copy of your registry (app: regedit). I plan on trying it again before I go blind and would be great to see what others work with. Thanks If I knew the answer, you would not need to ask.. you would already know. My work-around hacks is not worth mentioning. Being able to code Step7 with a dark theme would be under my top 3 of wants for TIA Portal. What joy it would be to avoid the eye-blinding bright background. But I fear the day Siemens brings out their dark theme version and disappoint like the custom shortcuts. Hint: dark theme does not automatically mean black; dark theme is an art. Something like: Atom-One-Dark Cheers.

I suck at color selection so I took the color codes from the link you posted and used it to setup my electrical schematic software and now it's much gentler on the eyes. Next I intend to give TIA another try along with a program I got from another thread on this forum the inverts windows colors. I hope it works. Cheers Kal
