I have some Sinamics S120 with CU320-2 PN, those drives were commissioned with STARTER v5.1.1.2 including DCC CFC v9.0.2.2.

Additional data (source code) of DCC charts is downloaded together with STARTER projects to drives.

All drives are performing and working without problems.

QUESTIONS:

If I want to use SINAMICS Startdrive v15.1 with SINAMICS DCC Combo v15.0 to monitor, modify, maintain those drives, what I need to do with existing STARTER projects?

Is there and option to migrate/convert/update STARTER projects together with DCC charts to Startdrive projects?

Maybe just going online on drives with Startdrive and uploading projects directly from drives to new Startdrive project will work?

as far as I know there is not a tool for converting the starter projects to tia projects (since start drive is under TIA), but maybe I can miss some recent programs.

Of course with Startdrive, you can upload the projects made with Starter, but you need the hardware in order to first download with starter and then upload with Startdrive.

If you want a tip, unless it is mandatory to use TIA (because you want to integrate a PLC or an HMI or other), I suggest to remain under Starter environment, since it is still faster and faster than startdrive.

what I know for offline migration of DCC is the following:

You can export the DCC charts from your Starter project in .xml format and import the charts to a drive unit in Startdrive.

A complete automatic offline migration of the project is not possible.
