Disable STO Test Stop

The STO has a Test Stop every 8 hours and when it is required it switches on the MAINT led on the plc. Is there a way to disable it completely? Additionally we have also tried to increase the 8hrs to a maximum time but then i get a fault that says acceptance test required. I do the acceptance test but the inverter does not go out of the fault state and still displays that it needs an acceptance test. The first option is to disable it completely. Is there a parameter to do this? Regards,

I am entering in Safety Commission p10 = 95 And try to set the STO test stop timer to 9000 (max) p9659=9000 The field on tia becomes red and the value reverts to 8 which is the factory default. Why is this happening?

When talking about the G120C with safety integrated basic functions a teststop is performed each time you select a STO, which resets the timer to its initial value. Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 5941 Rating: (816)	Hello cobinu, on SINAMICS side the test stop required message is a warning, which is not trigger any stop or drive reaction. You can finish production/process/etc. and perform it on the next possibility. So it makes sense to set the timer to a suitable value, i.e. you can do the test stop during a maintenance stop of the line.

I am actually going to set it once a year minimum since the drives are particularly critical. The problem i am encountering is that the drives are still new and yet the SI password of 0000 is not being accepted.

But nevertheless you can reset the safety integrated password to default by following the procedure stated in the manual, see attachment.
