Hi, 

I'm currently working on a program which (among other things) has to monitor a sequence on 2 inputs. These inputs 1 & 2 need to active in this sequence: 1 - 2 -1 - 1. If the sequence is different the output (internal flag)  should be blocked. If input 3-6 becomes active in between the sequence monitor needs to reset. 

I've tried many ways to program this, and made it work (in a testing stage), however the program becomes massive due to all the sets and resets. 

Is there anyone who has an idea how to make this simple? 

Perhaps another view at my problem will help creating a simple solution.

Try attachment for a possible solution. This is made with counters for the 4 digits and a counter, if key is okay. The okay counter would never reach 4, if one of the keys is wrong. You can change the code by changing the connection sequence at the AND blocks behind the digit counters.

Exactly what I hoped for, someone with a simpler approach for this problem. 

I've created massive programs and it turns out it can be much, much simpler. 

I know the problems with programming, first you have a base working well, but you need some options. Then several options are added and the program will blowing up. With the options some liitle faults are integrated and the program will blowing up once more.

Sometimes it is a good idea to start a new program, seeing it from another side.
