regulating position with logosoft (free time training)

Ulrikstokk Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hey everyone! Hope you all are safe in this Covid pandemi we are in right now, anyways! I'm planning to use a logosoft PLC to control some functions in my offroadcar that i am building. I need to regulate the steering on the rear axle. There will be a linear position sensor fittet to the steering hydraulics and there is two hydraulic solenoids to control the steering. I need to control the steering using a joystick in three modes... Mode 1: just steer after the joystick and autocentre when button for autocentre is pressed mode 2: Steer with joystick but autocentre when joystick is in the middle position mode 3: follow front axle steering if anyone would like to guide me to how and why you make a program for this i will be very happy! I have an idea of how i mix up the modes and so on but not autocentring and regulation of rear axle. Ladder diagram is preffered! Take Care!

Ulrikstokk Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Bacicly its how to use a PI/ PID to regulate like this: if X is less than setpoint - do this actuator if X is more than setpoint - do this actuator how to get a variable setpoint how to make the variable setpoint follow a Z value from another sensor (to mirror movements)

There is only a PI controller, no PID controller in the LOGO! software. 2.) The PI controller can only control in one direction, either upwards or downwards. If you want to control in both directions, you have to use 2 PI controllers. 3.) The LOGO! software offers a help function for each block. It is advisable to read them.

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 12/31/2025 Posts: 36386 Rating: (4545)	Do you have any basics at all? Have you thought about how you want to spend the value? The LOGO! can only output 0-10V or 0/4-20mA as analog signals, and only unidirectional.

I have made changing's to your diagram and removed the PID controller and included normal outputs. This because you wrote that you will use solenoids. Have a look if this is in the right direction.
