Hi,

Ive started up node red and tried to install the node package sense-ifm-iolink

https://flows.nodered.org/node/sense-ifm-iolink

I installed it via

cd /usr/lib/node_modules/

npm install sense-ifm-iolink

 Which when run you can see the package manager making a connection and installing

 The prompt finished with

root@iot2000:/usr/lib/node_modules# npm install sense-ifm-iolink
/usr/lib
`-- sense-ifm-iolink@1.2.1

Using the node red UI you can see the modules and even toggle them on and off. Picture attached shows them in the pallet manager. The terminal code below show me running node-red manually after turning off auto start, then re-installing the packages for good measure, then using the pallet manager in the browser you can see the console ouput toggling them.

So why can't i find the nodes in the pallet to use?

Install from the palette, then the correct location (/home/root/.node-red/node_modules) will be chosen automatically.

I just tried that and the result isn't different. I've rebooted and i can see the package folder now at ~/.node-red/node_modules as you said, but its still not appearing in the main palette.

Like before it is appearing in the manage pallet and showing the 3 nodes that it should be making on the palette. The only difference now is that there is a remove button for that package on the manage pallet screen.
